Upcoming films

At the moment, I have two films in pre-production for 2012. (This does not include Dead Inside, My Sucky Teen Romance, and The Toy Box which are all in post and should all be released this year).

Big deal, you say, but I am working both in front of and behind the camera on these. One I will be producing and the next I will be directing. More info as it unfolds.

Also, I have decided to post critiques and behind-the-scenes blogs about my work, both past and present. As you know, I am blunt to a fault at times, so do not expect any bullshit from me. I hope it will be an entertaining and enlightening look at the manic world of movie making.

Art

I have decided to incorporate painting back into my life. I might even sell some off of my website. Do not expect anything less than masterpieces. I expect to exhibit at the MOBA at any moment.

This piece is not my creation, but oh, how I wish it was. This is considered bad art?! I officially make it my duty in life to create such genius.

Ode to Pig Bitch…?

If you Google ‘Pig Bitch’, this image comes up. Très drôle, non? You think it is a tribute to my on-screen swine sex-kitten persona? Sorry, I don’t know the artist.

Dead Inside Screening on Friday

Elizabeth DeVries, Pearry Teo, and me behind the scenes of Dead Inside. Don't let Pearry's dark and twisted talent fool you- he's one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Elizabeth is also a kind and understanding soul. I wish I had the opportunity to work more on this one, but it's going to be amazing- probably the best film I have been in- even though I am not in it too much! I am still thankful for the opportunity! :)

If you are in Los Angeles, Pearry Teo’s latest horror film, Dead Inside, is screening on February 24. I’m not sure how long I am in the film, but you can check it out! I apologize, but I won’t be in attendance as I am on the other coast at the moment.

Dead Inside Updates

Here’s the website and trailer for the upcoming horror flick, Dead Inside. I am in it, but have a very small cameo. Don’t only see it for me, go see it because it looks creepy! If you want to scream “Hey Pig Bitch!” when I am on screen for thirty two seconds, I will neither encourage nor stop you. There is a screening in Los Angeles on February 24 and then it heads to the Boston International Film Festival in April. Check out the website for more information about upcoming screenings- http://www.deadinsidemovie.com

About Dead Inside

Sarah, a mentally-disturbed teen, has a jarring premonition of her friends’ impending deaths one night at a sleepover. As her houseguests begin to turn murderously against each other, Sarah must determine whether her visions represent the preventable or the inevitable… or something entirely more sinister.

Director Pearry Teo (Necromentia, Witchville, The Gene Generation) helms what promises to be a film that takes independent horror to frightening new heights. Dead Inside blends elements of American teen slasher films in the vein of Scream and Final Destination with those from Asian horror films such as The Ring and The Grudge.

*ETA- I am not in the trailer above. That is Tara Strand who plays Billie. I just wanted to mention that before I receive 300 emails asking me if that is me. I wish I was exaggerating. :)

Next Project

Many of you ask what my next project is going to be. I’m working with a writing partner for my directorial debut. Yes, I will be a lead in the film as well. Yes, there will be nudity and violence. It will be horror but not your average horror film. There will be a production blog, fundraising, promotion, photos, and more very soon. Keep checking back for updates and thank you all so much for your support!

Bisous,

Abnormally Attracted to Sin

I find it funny that exactly one year ago from this article, I ran off and got married. Literally! My wedding anniversary is August 5, 2011. Life is full of funny little surprises sometimes. :)

There are lyrics from a Tori Amos song that seems to sum up why I am driven to perform- “Blackness there is- a magic world parallel- so leave your daily hell.” Acting is my escape, a form of exorcism and catharsis that distances me from the bleak heartache of reality. My life has been far from easy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world because it was a gift given to me.
