The Connecticut based Hubble company, makers of the Hubble Telescope, sent out these promotional postcards depicting "Moon Monsters"! I'm a big collector of vintage postcards, so I was excited to learn the history behind this gem.

I will be going back to college to pursue a degree in nursing. This does not mean that I will give up acting. In fact, I am hoping to nurse part-time as I continue working in films. I think that it will suit me more than a mind-numbing retail job or waiting tables. If my acting takes off, fantastic, I will pursue it full-time. But, I want to be able to buy a home and have a family. I need a grown up job and I truly miss taking classes. :)

New Year's day, 2008... I was floating in a manic state of frivolity and giddiness... it was evening and I switched off the lights in the office area wanting to be good and conserve energy. Time to change into my pj's, so I think, "no need to turn on the lights, I know exactly where they are..." Reached down to pick them up, and WHAM! Shock and in pain, I realized I had hit my face on the arm of my computer chair. I had my glasses on at the time and they were smooshed into my eyeball. And to make it even more odd, this was left behind...

Hmm, I'm kinda stoned, I will rewrite this tomorrow. Ha ha...

It's chilly tonight in Los Angeles... I'm enjoying the gloomy weather and crisp, cold air. We have some incense burning and I'm sipping hot tea. I come to realize that I have always been somewhat of a hippie at heart... but I'd rather say I'm so bohemian.

Also ordered a Yoga dvd which should arrive soon. I've never practiced before, but in this new phase of my life, I feel very drawn to seeking inner peace.

Lots of updates in store... also creating a Bianca Barnett t-shirt with the aid of Zazzle.com . I want to start a sort of street team to spread the word in the vein of the "Hatchet Army". Also, the Scream Queen Chainsaw Chips are coming soon along with a pinup calendar I took part in!

I'm hoping all the projects I have lined up in the next four months will happen. I am keeping positive...

One more thing, I am planning a video blog soon to help accommodate me to getting more comfortable with speaking in front of the camera. Also a good excuse to look cute and work on editing. Speaking of, I need to get my reel finished up by tomorrow...

All Hallow's Eve!

Hello, everyone! Finished up filming my scenes for Albino Farm yesterday. What a blast! I was so exhausted, though, I fell asleep in the trailer... We were all out in the dark and spooky woods on a very crisp night near a lake.. I received a truly romantic Hallowe'en kiss from the love of my life...

Great fun- I "dressed up"- well, actually I was in creature gear... had the chance to howl at the moon and bite into body parts and just ACT. It was wonderful to know that at this point in my life I am finally getting closer to my goals and living out my dreams. I am in love with a wonderful and kind man who shares my passion for the art of film... I am healthy and sober and really coming to peace with myself and my demons.

I've basically had a jump start on my New Year's resolutions... scratch that, New LIFE resolutions! I am in therapy and treating my depression with medication... Next step is step is paying my SAG dues to get better roles, pay off my debt... Also close on the horizon, I'd really like to get my body into better shape. I've always been tall and somewhat thin, but I can definitely stand some toning and tightening. Hopefully within a month or so I'll be able to join a gym and I'll update you all on my progress!

Here's a pic of me and the Mister on set early Hallowe'en morning! What a wonderful experience! It definitely reminded me of how much I love acting and how I want to whole heartedly pursue it in my life... I'm going to start perfecting my craft with books and probably classes...

Hair Stage 2

Alright, bleached my hair about three times to start lifting out the layers of black dye. I then put a golden brown over that which resulted in an auburn shade. Kind of pretty, but I'll probably go with a cooler or darker tone soon. I DEFINITELY need to get my hair shaped up... probably will be getting a hair cut this weekend. I miss my bangs(!) and I need to get rid of the dead/damaged hair on the ends. I'm still growing it out but will probably take a few months off of putting extensions back in. I'm still kind of thinking of doing a golden brown with highlights someday... kind of like Drew Barrymore's hippie hair... I would have sleek hair in a perfect world, but I'm honestly sick of fighting the natural wave/curl I have. I seem to have inherited my father's hair!

So, a lot has been going on... finished up my first ADR session last Sunday. I had fun adding screaming, grunting and chewing sounds to the footage of me in Albino Farm.

I just finished an interview with Racks and Razors, an online horror zine, that should be up shortly. I will also be modeling for a clothing line called Rockin' Bones... they have great rock n' roll clothing!

I'm in the middle of taking the black out of my hair. I just decided I am tired of having extensions and that my hair color doesn't seem to read well in photos or film. I'll post photos of the finished results later!

The Ouija Board art show was very cool... I loved so many of the pieces that were shown. Kudos to our friend, Zombienose, and all the others that made such creative pieces. Here's a photo of me with the Mister at the show... he made his Ouija mask in less than an hour. He's so very talented, I love showing him off. :)

Second week of therapy went by without a hitch.

I want to lighten my hair to a shade of dark brown. Hoping it will turn out alright...

Tonight is Zombienose's Ouija art show... looking forward to that.

Tomorrow I do my first studio ADR for a film I worked on a few months back... Hoping not to blow out my vocal chords.
